Timothy P. Aiken acquired his experience in the Firm’s primary practice areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration and estate litigation during his ten years of private practice in Northern Virginia.  He brings to the Firm his skills in designing and drafting documents for advanced estate planning and business succession planning, as well as filing petitions for the appointment of conservators, the removal of wayward trustees, and the protection of the elective share for surviving spouses.  He has also handled adult care facility disputes on behalf of senior residents, caregivers and facility administrators.  There is no substitute for a seasoned practitioner in the legal world of estates, trusts and the preservation of family legacies, and we are pleased that Mr. Aiken is a member of our team, bringing his experience for the benefit of our clients.

Mr. Aiken earned his law degree at George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics at The College of William & Mary in Virginia.  The Prince William County Bar Association recognized Tim as the Pro Bono Attorney of the Year in 2019 for his role in organizing and managing their Wills for Veterans Program, in which local attorneys donated their time to prepare basic estate planning documents for over 200 veterans.
