Mrs. Morris concentrates her practice in the administration of trusts and estates, which includes advising fiduciaries regarding their powers and responsibilities, guiding fiduciaries through the intricacies inherent in those tasks, and protecting executors, trustees and conservators from liability by ensuring full compliance with their statutory duties and obligations under the will and/or trust document. Often, Mrs. Morris assists fiduciary clients who request that we maintain and organize the financial documentation of the estate and/or trust and prepare the required fiduciary inventory and accountings for filing with the Commissioner of Accounts. In addition, she counsels beneficiaries of estates and trusts with regard to the protection of their rights and interests.
Mrs. Morris earned her Bachelor of Science from the College of Charleston, where she graduated cum laude from the Honors Program in Economics, with a minor in Finance. She received her Juris Doctor from West Virginia University College of Law, where she was selected to the Order of the Coif and was the recipient of the Thomas N. Chambers Award in Taxation and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Federal Corporate Taxation and Land Use Planning.
