Mr. Rack, founder of the Firm, concentrates his practice in the planning and drafting of estate planning documents and the administration of trusts and decedents’ estates. He handles sophisticated estate and gift taxation matters as well as family business succession planning and legal issues affecting the elderly. He is also experienced in fiduciary litigation and related matters before the Internal Revenue Service and the U.S. Tax Court.

While attending T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond, he was selected for the Moot Court Board and was elected Chief Justice of the Honor Court.

Mr. Rack has received the Outstanding Achievement Award for 2007 from the Virginia Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.  For six of the past eight years, Mr. Rack has been named as one of Virginia’s "Legal Elite" in Virginia Business magazine in the category of attorneys specializing in taxation, trusts and estates.
Kevin was nominated in the legal practice areas of “Taxes, Trusts and Estates.”  This was the sixth time Mr. Rack has been selected for this recognition.   Mr. Rack has been named Virginia “Super Lawyers” for the last three years. Kevin is also serving as Chairman of the Elder Law Section of the Virginia Bar Association.  He is currently serving as Immediate Past Chairman of the Elder Law Section of the Virginia Bar Association, and is a Past President of the Hampton Roads Estate Planning Council.

Mr. Rack served on the Governor’s Advisory Board on Aging during the Allen Administration and as Chairman of the Mayor’s Committee for the Aging in Virginia Beach. He served on the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer’s Association, Southeastern Virginia Chapter, and recently completed several terms as Founding Chairman of the Planned Gifts Advisory Committee for the Chapter.

Mr. Rack served on the Children’s Health Systems Board, Foundation Board and the Development Advisory Board for Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Symphony.

Kevin is married to Michelle ReDavid Rack, who serves as counsel to the Firm, and they reside in Middle Plantation with their two daughters, Peyton and Emily.
