Our Attorneys

Jennifer L. Moccia, a shareholder in the Firm, concentrates her practice in every aspect of estate planning, from simple wills and powers of attorney to advanced tax planning involving revocable and irrevocable trusts, special needs trusts and other sophisticated planning techniques. She also serves as counsel to family members serving as fiduciary for the administration of trusts and estates, which typically involves the preparation of fiduciary income tax returns. Ms. Moccia has expanded her practice as an elder law attorney, providing counsel to seniors and their families on matters ranging from Medicaid eligibility for long term care and federal benefits for veterans to petitions for guardianship and conservatorship.

Ms. Moccia contributes her time and talent to her community, currently serving on the Planned Giving Committee of St. Mary’s Home, and having volunteered as a Certified Mediator for the Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Chesapeake Courts. She serves as Chair of the Virginia State Bar Trusts and Estates Section. Formerly a Board Member of the Virginia State Bar Young Lawyers Conference, she served as the VSB liaison for various projects, including: Wills for Heroes, Docket Call publication, Pro Bono Commission, Children in the Law Commission, Professional Development Conference and the Professional Development Series.
